Patient Participation Group (PPG)

The Practice’s Patients Participation Group is a group where patients, members of the medical staff and our Practice Managers are able to meet quarterly to discuss matters relating to the surgery.

Non-urgent advice: The aims of the Group are:

– To improve communication between the Practice and the Patients.

– To exchange information and ideas.

– To discuss recent or future developments which involve the practice and its patients.

– To consider patients concerns, comments or suggestions about the quality of the service provided and what improvements can be made.

– All patients of the Practice are eligible to join the Patient Participation Group, so if you are enthusiastic about the surgery and have a few hours to spare each quarter please think about becoming a member of our PPG.

PPG Mission Statement

As a critical friend of Oakham Medical Practice, the PPG is here to listen, challenge and support patients and practice and to work together to improve the health and wellbeing of all patients of the practice.

We are a voluntary independent group of patients representing the views of all patients registered with this practice; our aim is to:

  • Facilitate communication between patients and practice.
  • Offer feedback from the patients’ perspective via regular consultation with the practice.
  • Provide practical support where appropriate.

To contact or join the Patient Participation Group, please email [email protected].

The PPG can then provide you with further information about membership.
