Join us this April to raise awareness about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and support those living with this condition. IBS affects up to one-third of the UK population, making it one of the most common digestive disorders

Why It Matters: IBS can significantly impact the quality of life, but with the right support and management, individuals can lead fulfilling lives. By raising awareness and promoting understanding, we can help improve the lives of those affected by IBS.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the name given to a longstanding illness consisting of frequent abdominal discomfort and bowel symptoms that cannot be explained by any other disease.

Symptoms include:

  • Abdominal cramps, often relieved by going to the toilet
  • Bloating
  • Diarrhoea
  • Constipation
  • Frustrated defaecation (needing to go to the toilet but not being able to)
  • Wind
